Derrick Pugh studied film and editing techniques at East London Polytechnic and then with BBC Education and Training. He was then sponsored by ITV weather presenter, Sian Lloyd and gained membership and registration of the ACTT which was later superseded by BECTU ( Broadcasting Entertainment and Cinematograph & Theatre Union ) as a television cameraman. He has over 20 years professional experience in the production industry and is a freelance cameraman. Derrick covers a variety of different filming applications. Previous projects include filming all the news bulletins which featured in the film "Happy Now" which was filmed on location at Barmouth, North Wales working alongside famous actors such as Ioan Gruffydd ( Hornblower, Titanic etc. ). Filmed documentaries for international television companies etc., e.g. featuring the location filming of "Undertakers Paradise" at Aberystwyth, West Wales.
